APPLICATION.
The two batteries are installed one in back of the other between the existing battery retainers. The
batteries are secured in place with self-tapping screws through the bottom flange at the front of the
battery and into the bottom of the battery compartment.
6. CORRECTION PROCEDURES.

Perform the following tasks:
(1) Disconnect and remove the 24-volt aircraft battery and associated tie-down hardware and
vents.
(2) Inspect installation area. Remove all signs of corrosion or rust. Touchup paint if required.
(3) Disassemble the battery disconnect and separate the 4 cables at the lugs.
(4) Install the first battery in the back of the battery compartment and tie down using a locally
fabricated clamp or self-tapping screws through the forward base plate on the battery.
(5) Install the second battery in the front of the battery compartment and tie down using a
locally fabricated clamp or self-tapping screws through the forward base plate on the
battery.
(6) Connect the lugs on the two positive cables to a dual conductor battery terminal clamp.
Repeat with the lugs on two negative (ground) cables.
(7) Connect the positive and negative terminal clamps and the 8 to 12-inch long battery
jumper cable to the two batteries as shown on Figure 1.
